MetroDeeds ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") provides NYC property deed intelligence and related data services.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information — Email address, name, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Payment Information — Credit card and billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store raw card numbers; Stripe handles PCI compliance.
• Search & Usage Data — Property searches, filters applied, pages viewed, deed records accessed, and reports generated.
• Session Data — Browser type, IP address, device identifiers, and session tokens used to authenticate your account.
• Communications — Emails you send to us, including support requests.

We do not collect government-issued IDs, Social Security numbers, or sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the MetroDeeds platform.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To enforce tier-based access controls and usage limits.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, receipts).
• To detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only as necessary to operate the service:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database hosting (US-based). Your data is stored in Supabase's managed PostgreSQL instances.
• Vercel — Application hosting and edge delivery.
• Legal obligations — We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention records).

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and role-based access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

We use session cookies necessary to authenticate your account. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We may use basic analytics (page views, error rates) to monitor service health.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello@metrodeeds.com. We will respond within 30 days. For users in jurisdictions with additional statutory rights (e.g., California CCPA, EU GDPR), we will honor applicable requests.

MetroDeeds is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
